On this website you will find resources from a variety of places. You may, of course, use any of them as they all come from published sources. We have chosen resources that speak to trauma and resilience building. We believe strongly that it is not enough to simply understand the science of trauma and its effects. It is just as vital to understand how to intervene to help build resilience in communities, families, adults, and children. Problems without viable solutions remain problems that only grow exponentially. Solutions cannot only stem the tide, they can possibly change the direction. In tackling the huge tip of the iceberg of trauma, we can reduce families who are broken up through our child welfare system. We can reduce the number of kids in the school to prison pipeline, we can even reduce our prison population. The first step is education, the second step is action based on knowledge.
